Our Story

It was Fall of 2013. Erik had just started a new consulting job and Heather was a year into her current job at a surgery clinic. A mutual friend tagged an old college photo with Heather and Erik on Facebook. Reminiscing on the photo, Erik decided to reconnect with Heather and sent her a message — Little did they know that this conversation would lead to something very special...

Heather and Erik first met in the Fall of 2005. They were both starting their sophomore years of college and excited to meet new people. Erik had already noticed Heather around campus and it wasn't long before they finally met at a social gathering. Erik was quick to pursue her and got his first glimpse at what an incredible person Heather was. For the next year they would share many great memories together including a Summer abroad at Loyola's Rome Center. Ultimately things would not work out the first time around and they decided to part ways.

Fast forward 7 years to the Fall of 2013 — A part of Erik always knew Heather was the one for him. When they finally met up again after 7 years he only confirmed his belief. From their second "first date" and over the next 3 years they would go on many dinners, explore cities across the US, and spend quality time with each other's family. They both knew that this time it was meant to be.

In the Spring of 2016, Erik decided to take her back to the place where they first met. Only this time, he wanted to ask her to spend the rest of their lives together.
She said yes!
